Strawberries on strawberries

This sweets series is inspired by my love fo sweets and texture. The texture of particular foods don't only tie you to a taste or a name but also to a memory and experience. Every stroke of this painting felt like I was baking this cake myself and provided a feeling of comfort and peace. The background color contemplates the light pinks and whites in the foreground while creating a spotlight for the cake.
